Our Team.
We are a solid team of 5. Ana, Joel, Kahu, Matt and Mike. Half long time locals born and raised in the Bay of Islands region (two of us going to Russell School) and half enticed into the Bay of Islands lifestyle.
Joel, Company Director- Upon completing his apprenticeship in heavy industrial in Auckland he decided to move to Queenstown to enjoy the snow life. Based there he was mainly involved in high end residential / architectural builds. Missing the coast and warmth of Bay of Islands he decided to move up with his family and start Sparky Pants Electrical Ltd in 2018.
Matt, Electrician- Matt trained as a qualified electrician in the UK. Working in Hospitals for a few years decided to move to NZ. He recently started with us in mid 2021.
Kahu, Electrical Apprentice- After making the towns coffee’s for the last few years Kahu has decided to start an electrical apprenticeship. Much to the dismay of the coffee drinkers! But for us he is a great asset to the company.
Mike, Electrical Apprentice- Mike for years has been a snow patroller then coming back in summer to run Hell Hole coffee shop. He recently also decided to start an electrical apprenticeship. Another great asset to the company.
Ana, Office- Ana studied Hotel management in Brazil. Upon completion of her qualification in 2006, she was based in Queenstown working as a court interpreter, Duty Manager and acting F&B Manager of Skycity Queenstown. She was convinced to move upto the Bay of Islands and has fell in love with the place since. In control of the office, Ana makes sure everything flows smoothly within the company.
